Why?

My last stage left off using photograms. In this stage  I experimented with them further and I began using varying items of clothing made of mesh to make  my own negatives .

Test Strips

I created these using the mesh material from a tutu and folded them and twisted them before letting the light pass through them and developing them in the darkroom.

Test Strips

These photograms were created the same way the tutu photograms. Yet this time the tutu mesh was layered on top of the  mesh beaded shawl.

Selections

Test Strips

This time thin material flowers were placed bellow the tutu mesh.

These photograms were made just using the thin material flowers yet I only used small pieces of paper so when put together created the flower.

Selection

This selection was created in the darkroom using the thin material flowers. As I trapped the material flowers in the glass and slid that into the enlarger to create photograms where you can begin to see all the minuscule details to the fabric.

Selection

I then turned the selection above into digital negatives by inverting and leveling the photograms.

Selection

These photograms were also created using the thin material flowers but more focused in the centers.

Selection

These are the selection above made into digital negatives.
