Why?

After seeing how Aaron Siskind looked at layers. After seeing Judit Karasz work I decided to look into the use of layers within materials such as mesh, felt and fluffy blankets. And I continued to use the dark room.

How?

I created these images by scanning in materials such as felt and fluffy blankets in the printer, progressively moving the materials as I did so, allowing for a variety of images. Then I levelled them and set them to black and white. Finally I cropped them to squares.

How?

Here I stitched the trace of the threads within the dryer sheet. And then I put the sheet in the enlarger and created more photos. Then I stitched red string into the images.
